Systems Administrator II
Key Responsibilities/Tasks:
- DNS Configuration and Management:
- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot DNS zones, records, and resolution policies using the Infoblox application.
- Perform DNS zone transfers, updates, and changes as required by business needs.
- DHCP and IP Address Management:
- Oversee IP address allocation and management, ensuring efficient usage and accurate records.
- Implement IPAM strategies for efficient IP space management, including subnetting and supernetting.
- Monitoring and Reporting:
- Monitor the performance and health of DNS and DHCP services, addressing issues promptly.
- Generate regular reports on DNS and IP address utilization, providing insights and recommendations for optimization.
- Security and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with organizational security policies and industry standards.
- Assist in auditing DNS and IPAM configurations to identify and mitigate potential risks.
- Troubleshooting and Support:
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for DNS, DHCP, and IPAM-related issues.
- Work closely with other network and security teams to resolve complex networking issues.
- Documentation and Training:
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of DNS, DHCP, and IPAM configurations and processes.
- Train and support junior network administrators and other IT staff.
Requirements
Required Clearance: TS/SCI with CI Poly
Candidate must have 10 years of experience that can be a combination of work history and education. This equates to a Doctorate and 3 years, master’s and 4 years, bachelor’s and 6 years, associates and 8 years or HS diploma and 10 years. Additional required qualifications include: Compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) 8570 Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level 2.
The ideal candidate will have either System Administration background, networking background, or extensive experience in managing and configuring DNS, DHCP, and IP Address Management (DDI). Candidates with System Administration and networking backgrounds will be properly trained to perform their day-to-day duties.
